Customers beginning implementation often ask which Student Success & Engagement (SS&E) datafeeds are essential. While every datafeed provides valuable information, some are required for a successful base implementation. Feeds of priority 1 through 3 are recommended for all clients; the remainder are optional depending on how much data the client wishes to see in the system.

Term information, including year, type, and important dates for each term/semester.
course
Generic course information, typically from the course catalog.
courseSection
Specific course sections that exist for a particular academic calendar.
department
The academic departments at the institution. These departments are referenced by course records.
person
Person record, including demographic information. The Person feed is used to create all people, regardless of role, who will be using or engaged through your Student Success & Engagement system. All other person feeds, such as Person Address and Transcript, are based on users provided in this file
transcript
High-level/summary information for a student's transcript.
transcriptCourse
Enrollment and coursework information for a student. Includes latest registration for a given student in a given section.
