About the Faculty and Leader Experience
Faculty and leaders can access the Insights Hub to centrally prioritize and complete tasks from improvement engagement. Users with System Administration access can provide non-administrative users with the Contributor role. This is a basic role that infers faculty related permissions and tasks from integrated Watermark Products such as Faculty Success, Course Evaluations & Surveys, and Curriculum Strategy.
Additionally, an Insights Hub Administrator can grant faculty and staff with access to view Institution Level Leader Insights and Program Level Leader Insights. While the Institutional Level Leader Insights answers over 50 essential questions across six Watermark solutions, the Program Level Leader Insights is currently limited to Student Learning & Licensure.
The Faculty Experience
A user with the Contributor role is responsible for completing key tasks assigned to them. Currently this can be tasks from Course Evaluations & Surveys, Faculty Success, and/or Curriculum Strategy including:
- Adding an activity from the Faculty Success - Faculty Activity module
- Submitting an annual or promotion and tenure review from the Faculty Success Review, Promotion & Tenure workflow.
- Submitting a course or program curriculum proposal from the Curriculum Strategy Curriculum Management workflow.
In addition to the actions and tasks mentioned above, faculty and instructors can conditionally monitor the progress of reviews from Faculty Success, and course evaluation response rates from Course Evaluations & Surveys.
- When the faculty has one or more in-progress reviews, they will see a Reviews in Progress widget. This helps them view the progress and tasks of their current review, promotion and tenure workflows. Clicking on each step will provide more detail, as well as navigation links to the review in a new tab.
- When the faculty is an instructor of one or more course sections, they will see a Course Evaluation Response Rates widget. This helps them monitor response rates for their open course evaluations. They can view each Course Section and navigate to their CE&S Results Home.
Additional tasks and capabilities from Watermark solutions will be added in 2025.
The Leader Experience
If the administrator assigned the person to have access to the Institution or Programs, the user can also access insights. This is usually assigned to higher level leaders at the Institution level or program chairs at the program level. However, program chairs will only see insights when their institution licenses Student Learning & Licensure that is integrated with System Administration.
