Log Categories

Log categories are used by interns when adding time to their time log.  The categories allow an intern to document tasks and events, or enter hours under a specific category, which can then be used by administrators in reporting. Category Types can also be created to organize categories.

 

To create a Category Type:

1. From the Academics & Offices, click on the program/organization that you would like to add a Category Type to

2. Click Log Categories

3, Click Create Category Type

4. Enter a Title and click Save

 

To Create a Log Category

1. From the Academics & Offices, click on the program/organization that you would like to add a Category Type to

2. Click Log Categories

3. Click Create Log Category

4. Enter a Log Category Name

5. Select a Category Type (optional)

To edit or delete a Category Type or Log Category

1. Click the "Options" button (three dots) to the right of the Category Type or Log Category

2. Click Edit or Delete (Note: Log Categories that have been used in students' time logs cannot be deleted)
