Quick Guide: View JSON Extract and Imported Data

In the data integration there are two major steps, the Connect2/Accelerate process and the Import process. See the SIS Data Import Process for a visual on each of these steps.

View JSON Extract

This is data that is waiting to be imported into SS&E. This step is after the Connect2 task/Accelerate configuration has processed the data from the source system (CSVs or Database) and sent it to a data store before the data is imported into SS&E.

  1. Navigate to SS&E Administration > SIS Integration > Datafeeds (https://{yourinstitution}.avisoapp.com/aviso/datafeed/index)

Note: Replace yourInstitution in the above link with your SSE/Aviso domain as displayed in a working URL. For more details, click Support Articles include Broken Links with 'yourInstitution'.

  2. Find the datafeed you want to view. Select "Download Extract" to view in browser.
    1. Alternatively, right click and "save link as" to download the file. Some files are large and must be downloaded in order to view.

Errors in the data transfer between the source system and this JSON file (Connect2/Accelerate process) can be found in SS&E Administration > Advanced > External Logging (https://{yourinstitution}.avisoapp.com/aviso/logMessage/list).

Note: Replace yourInstitution in the above link with your SSE/Aviso domain as displayed in a working URL. For more details, click Support Articles include Broken Links with 'yourInstitution'.

View Imported Data

This is data that has been imported into SS&E, and is available in the UI (depending on user roles and permissions).

  1. Navigate to SS&E Administration > SIS Integration > Datafeeds
  2. Find the datafeed you want to view. Select "View" in the "Imported Data" column. Each field in the table can be searched - the search fields are exact match only.

HINT: Use the percent sign "%" as a wildcard character if you are not looking for an exact match.

Errors in the Import Process can be found in SS&E Administration > SIS Integration > Import Errors (https://{yourinstitution}.avisoapp.com/aviso/etlValidationError/index).

Note: Replace yourInstitution in the above link with your SSE/Aviso domain as displayed in a working URL. For more details, click Support Articles include Broken Links with 'yourInstitution'.
