Overview
Within Student Success & Engagement, each built-in report that is available from the Reports UI can be configured by role in Reports Administration to ensure that only those that need access are permitted to access and run each report.
NOTE: Role permissions do NOT apply to reporting, therefore it is very important to be cautious when assigning permitted roles to prebuilt SS&E Reports.
Clicking on a specific report navigates the user to the details of that report.

Report administration shows which roles have permission to access a report. However, if allowed, an Administrator can create a new role that is only used to grant permission to view and run a specfic report.

To grant permission to an individual user on a specific report(s):
- Create a new role from Roles Administration that is not assigned any permissions on the role itself (leave everything set to No).
- Select Edit in Reports Administration to assign the new role to the report's permitted roles.
- Add the new role to the user details security roles, accessed from People Administration.
- The user will now be able to access and run the specified report only from their Reports menu (accessed from the top right report icon), even if they are not assigned any other roles that allow access to student records/other data displayed on the UI.
