Overview
This guide is intended for the IT team members responsible for Student Success & Engagement (SS&E) implementation tasks and integrations. The details outlined in this guide are subject to change as Watermark processes and requirements change over time. This includes at a high level all IT-related tasks required for SS&E Implementation.
Email Delivery
- Safelist specific Email Domains - this should be completed right away to ensure your team receives emails from Watermark and system emails.
Authentication/SSO
- Set up Authentication.

Add person data to Project Team Import Spreadsheet. Watermark staff will then import these users into your new SS&E instance.
IMPORTANT: This must use the same id as what will be used for all student/staff/faculty ids in the person imports for data integration.

Build Data Feeds
- See SS&E Import Process for visuals on the data flow steps, schedule, and infrastructure.
- See the SIS Integration Overview for more information on the process of building data feeds. In implementation, Watermark Technical Services takes additional steps to review and enable imports after CSVs are sent by the institution.
Additional data feed resources
- The CSV Requirements define the format requirements and best practices for each CSV file.
- Use your Data Sheet (provided by your Implementation Project Manager) to track progress in collaboration with Watermark Technical Services.
Data Feed Implementation Process
- Sprint 1: Critical Feeds (Priority 1)
- Sprint 2: Required Feeds (Priority 2 & 3)
- Begin Data Verification
- Sprint 3: Optional Feeds & Wrap Up (Priority 4 & 5)
- Complete Data Integration & Verification
- Update feeds through Design & Build and beyond
(Make continuous updates to feeds as requested by System Admin team)
Each sprint includes:
- Institution drafts CSV files
- Two technical working sessions to review best practices, questions, challenges
- Feedback and iterative data review with Watermark Technical Services
