Importing Program Curriculum Data via CSV
Overview
This article explains how System Administrators can import and update Program Curriculum data using Comma-Separated Values (CSV) files.
System Administration stores and manages data for Program Curriculum alignments. System Administrators can enter this data via CSV import or through manual updates. For information on manual updates, please see the guide on Aligning Courses to Programs Manually.
Importing Program Curriculum Data
The import functionality allows System Administrators to upload CSV files with bulk data to align Courses to Programs. System Administrators can also perform updates to existing Program Curriculum data through a CSV import.
If required, the template is available in the pop-up that opens.
Modifying Course Requirements
To change whether a Course is required for a Program, change the value from TRUE to FALSE in the required_course fields, then import the CSV file.
When importing the CSV layout shown below, Intro_MKT_101 and MKT_201 will perform the following actions:
- Remain aligned to the BS_Marketing Program
- Remove the requirement status for the BS_Marketing Program
Removing Course Alignment and Requirements
To remove both a Course’s alignment and its requirement from a Program, change the values from TRUE to FALSE in both the required_course fields and the aligned_course fields. Then import the CSV file.
When importing the CSV layout shown below, Intro_MKT_101 and MKT_201 will perform the following actions:
- Remove alignment from the BS_Marketing Program
- Remove the requirement status for the BS_Marketing Program
