Canvas LTI 1.3 Adding Links to a Canvas course

Please follow the below instructions to insert a link in your Canvas portal that takes students and faculty to a specific account home page in Tk20.

  1. Log in to your Canvas portal with faculty account and navigate to your Course home page from the Dashboard side menu.

  2. Click +Assignment under Assignments left menu to add a new link.

  3. Enter a Title for your assignment/link.

  4. Set Submission Type to External Tool
  5. Click Find
  6. Find the account placement type created by the admin and click Select. Make sure isapplication=true as query parameters at the end of the external tool URL, for account integration.
  7. Check the box for Load this tool In a new tab if you want to open your link in a new window.

  8. Click Save & Publish
  9. Click Load [assignment/link name] in a new window

  10. A new tab will open where you will see the TK20 screen if integration is successful.
