Long running batch processes, specifically the SIS Import Batch Job, LMS Enrollments Import Batch Job, and the Analytics Import Batch Job, will get terminated after a specified number of hours by the batchJobTimeout field in the Application page in the Administration view. By default, this number of hours is set to 24. These jobs are terminated after this specified amount of time because they cannot run concurrently. For example, SIS Import Batch Job runs every six hours. If that job were to get stuck running for 30 hours, five SIS Import Jobs would have been missed. The batchJobTimeout field can be set per institution to accommodate the average runtime of the batch jobs.
