Administration
Merge Duplicate Users
Some institutions have run into issues with duplicate users being created in our system due to conflicting data in different external systems or manually creating a duplicate. CES Administrators can now merge user accounts by uploading a .csv file to merge two user accounts into one of those user accounts. Details for use of this new functionality can be found HERE.
Reporting
Ability for Instructors to download batch raw data reports for their course sections in a Project
We have heard institutions struggle with the number of clicks required for an instructor to be able to access the raw data results for all of their courses in a project. If you have allowed your instructors to access raw data for their course sections under Project Results, they can now choose to download batch reports with those raw data. By selecting raw data as an option, they will only have the option to download a zip file. The zip file would contain a separate .xlsx of raw data for each course selected (same data that lives in the single raw data export now).
Integrations - LMS
Streamlined LTI 1.3 SSO Setup
In our August release, we brought institutions initial functionality to support LTI 1.3-compliant single sign-on functionality. This enhancement is intended to make the setup process easier for you. It provides the autofill of 3 fields in the CES LTI 1.3 configuration screen, while the other setup steps for each LMS remain the same. We also have now given you the ability to delete your LTI 1.3 setup. As a reminder, LTI 1.3-based user integration functionality is currently in development and we hope to release that functionality to you soon.
For more information on setting up an LTI 1.3-compliant single sign-on for your LMS, please see the appropriate help article:
Ability to Update Admins using the REST API
To enhance the process of managing administrator users, we have created a new REST APIs which allow you to update or delete admin users. Full API documentation is available in the Account area when logged into the system as a CES Administrator.
