This article explains the rules for moving members in sections
- A user with an Instructor role in a section can also have a Supervisor role in the same section
- A user with a Supervisor role in a section can also have an Assisted Assessor role in the same section
- A user with a Student role in a section cannot have another role in the section
- A user with a Mentor role in a section cannot have another role in the section
When creating the role alignments within a section the following rules are followed:
1. An Instructor can be any user that is not already an Assisted Assessor, Student, or Mentor in the section
2. An Assisted Assessor can be any user that is not already an Instructor, Student, or Mentor in the section
3. A Supervisor can be any user that is not already a Student or Mentor in the section
4. A Mentor can be any user that is not already a user in the section
5. A Student can be any user that is not already a user in the section
When creating the role alignments for a section that is enabled with Placement Management the following rules are followed:
1. An Instructor can be any user that is not already an Assisted Assessor, Student, or Mentor in the section. (This Role is not set in Placement Management)
2. An Assisted Assessor can be any user that is not already an Instructor, Student, or Mentor in the section. (Role not set in Placement Management)
3. A Supervisor can be any user that isn't already a Student
or Mentor and has the account type of Faculty, set in the User import. Please note, users with the account type of Admin cannot be assigned as supervisors within Placement Management.
4. A Mentor can be any user that is not already a user in the section and has the account type of External, set in the User import.
5. A Student can be any user that is not already a user in the section. (Role not set in Placement Management)
*If a user already has two roles in a section they cannot be moved into another role until they have been removed from one of the roles first
