Course Evaluations & Surveys Release Notes for January 13, 2022

This release brings updates to the product name reflected in the system and to the integration tools available for Ellucian Banner and Colleague.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Transitioning to Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys

As forecasted in mid-December, today’s release delivered the first round of updates to begin the transition of the product name, from EvaluationKIT to Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys, in the product itself. Here's what's new:
    1. The Watermark App Bar, which includes the new product logo:Screen_Shot_2022-01-14_at_4.30.23_PM.png
    2. A new name for the EvaluationKIT Administrator role: "CES Administrator":Screen_Shot_2022-01-14_at_4.30.23_PM_2.png
    3. Access to the Course Evaluations & Surveys Help Center and the institution's Contact Settings (question mark) has moved to the Watermark App Bar:Screen_Shot_2022-01-14_at_4.30.23_PM_3.png
    4. Access to My Notifications (bell icon) has moved to the Watermark App Bar:Screen_Shot_2022-01-14_at_4.30.23_PM_4.png
    5. Other updates where product text references the product name


  • Product name changes do not affect the functionality, workflows, or URLs of the system.
  • Additional updates to the new product name in regards to our LMS integrations (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L Brightspace) are coming soon.

And while we're on the topic of updating product names, if you use Watermark Navigator to centralize access across multiple Watermark solutions, please be on the lookout on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 when we'll introduce the Course Evaluations & Surveys product name to the Navigator login experience.

Updates to the Banner and Colleague Integrations

Also, released are two enhancements to the Banner and Colleague Ethos integration to make data mapping and term differentiation easier.
    1. Institutions will now be able to specify section title using a text box under Section Title Template field in Data Mapping. In the current data mapping in Section Title Type, there is no option to specify the title which prohibits the use of Hierarchy Mapper.
    2. Added Term Dates for Banner and Colleague integration when the user chooses to re-sync data under Courses > Data Import for a project. Earlier, Term in the drop-down was not the term intended to import. We added more term information into the name in the drop-down so that users can differentiate between their terms.
