Visual Report Types – Charts and Graphs

The Table panel allows creating a report using rows and columns to present the data in an organized and clear way. However, some data is better represented or more easily viewed using a type of chart or graph other than a table. Analytics provides several report types that can be used to present data in different ways.
The Switch to chart format button and the Switch to table format button can be used to toggle between the Table view and the Chart view.
When in Chart view, the type of chart can be selected from the Choose chart type drop down menu. Choices include:
- Column
- Stacked column
- 100% Stacked Column
- Column-Line Combo
- Bar
- Stacked Bar
- 100% Stacked Bar
- Line
- Pie
- Area
- Scatter
- Heat Grid
In Table view, the Layout panel has labels for rows and columns. In Chart view, the Layout panel labels change to reflect the components of the chosen chart type. For example, in the report below, Pie chart was chosen, and Layout panel labels change to Slices and Multi-pie. Just like the Table view, criteria can be rearranged in Chart view using the Layout panel.
