Locating an assignment in LiveText

In LiveText, an "assignment" is posted on the Dashboard and represents a task that your instructor has asked you to complete.  The assignment is posted for a specific course that you are enrolled in on LiveText.  Each assignment has a title and has its own colored button that will read either "Begin Assignment" (red), "Continue Assignment" (red), "View Assignment" (yellow), or "View Assessment" (green).  The button you will see is dependent upon the current status of the assignment.  Either you: (1) have the ability to submit something for it (red); (2) you are waiting for your instructor to assess what you've submitted and/or request that you resubmit your work (yellow); or (3) you have an assessment to view (green).

To view your assignments, follow these steps:

1. Click the "Dashboard" tab.

2. Using the “Term” drop down box select the appropriate term.

3. Using the “Courses” drop down box select the appropriate course.

4. Locate the title of the assignment on your Dashboard.

If there aren't any assignments posted for a selected term or course, you will see the following statement:

“Currently, there are no assignments available in the selected term or course.”

You may also view assignments by following these steps:

1. Click the "Courses" tab.

2. Click the course code for the course.

3. Click the "Assignments" tab.

If the there aren't any assignments posted by the instructor of the course, you will see the following statement:

"There are no assignments at this moment."

If you feel that the instructor should have posted a particular assignment that’s not present, you may wish to contact your instructor.  Assignments are either posted by the instructor or by someone assisting your instructor, such as a LiveText Coordinator on campus.
