Student Learning & Licensure: New Admin Experience

What is a Watermark Labs Release?

A Watermark Labs Release is a feature or set of features that is available to all customers while we continue to make improvements. Watermark Labs allows our customers to quickly take advantage of these features, provide feedback on areas for improvement, and stay apprised of our efforts as we continue to develop the SL&L user experience and functionality.

Unlike a Beta release, this is a General Availability release; all administrative users, whose institutions are integrated with System Administration, can start using these new features today. The Watermark Labs status will only be applied for a limited time as we continue to make improvements and actively enhance features.

Watermark Labs Releases should come with the following expectations

  • Functionality is useful and beneficial to many clients but there are opportunities to improve
  • Clients should be aware of the areas that need improvements and make a choice in how they use it; it may not (yet) be a fit for all
  • Keep a close eye on the roadmap to track progress
  • We welcome feedback and need it

Why is the New Admin Experience a Watermark Labs Release?

The New Admin Experience aims to streamline the navigation and workflows for administrators. To reduce the need to toggle to the “Admin” area* in the upper right waffle, we are introducing two new tabs, Academics & Offices and Settings, to the Home view. The New Admin Experience is a work in progress and does not yet have all the features of the “Admin” area. We are welcoming feedback from administrators so that we can make improvements to administrative navigation, workflows, and overall experience with Student Learning & Licensure.

  • The “Admin” area in the upper right waffle is referred to as “Classic Admin” throughout this article.
