Student Caseload Screen
- Enhanced Search Bar on Student screen. The search bar now provides a basic and advanced view for searching students in the system. See Appendix A.
-
Basic View – The basic view now includes the option to “Search Only Students I Follow”. This allows a staff member to quickly search through only the students that they have followed within the system.
-
Advanced View – By clicking on the Advanced link, additional options are shown to the user. These options include:
- Tags – Search for students that have the tag currently applied to their record. Multiple tags are supported.

Message Templates

Data Integration Improvements
- Increased Frequency of Data Loads Into Aviso
- SIS data now loads every six hours rather than once per day.
- LMS data loads every two hours rather than every four hours.
- Ability to Push Data from Aviso to SIS via the AvisoConnector component. This data push occurs in near real-time. Examples of customer implementations include pushing Notes and LMS data to an on-campus system. If your institution wishes to use this feature, please contact your Aviso representative for more information.
- Revised application monitoring to ensure new data loading schedules.
Miscellaneous
- Academic plan synchronization was only processing planned courses that were added to the plan in the last year. This has been modified to process academic plan course records based upon current and future terms instead.
- Enhanced monitoring capabilities for Aviso support staff and creation of an Aviso Status page in the administrative settings. See Appendix B.
- Restrict changing of Walk-In settings when a user is actively accepting meeting requests.
- Added searching capabilities to Meeting Location dropdown when creating or editing a meeting.
- LMS related alerts now ensure LMS data has been refreshed in the last twelve hours. Previously this value was twenty-four hours.
- Fixed an issue whereby if an institution set their alerts to auto-expire in more than 28 days then the alerts were being expired in 24-48 hours.
- Include the alert timestamp along with the alert shown on the student’s profile.
Appendix A: Enhanced Search Bar
With 2.3, the search bar has been enhanced to provide users an easier way to search through their caseloads. Options now include searching followers, tags, degrees, programs, or students currently registered in a particular course. The screens below show the new search capabilities.
Appendix B: Aviso Health Status Page
Institutions may now view the same information Aviso technical staff use to monitor the health of Aviso. Administrators may go to Admin -> Aviso Health Status to see the status page and the health of the major services that power your institution’s Aviso instance.
