Program Filtering on Achievements and Alerts
Alerts and achievements can be configured to include and/or exclude Programs.
Final Grade Achievement Type
A new achievement type of "Final Grade" has been added.
Notes
Note Type Permitted Roles
In order to allow more granular control of the visibility of notes containing sensitive information, we've added the ability to restrict access to notes based on roles. If a person is not included in one of these roles, they will not be able to see notes associated with the Note Type.
Multiple Note Type Selection
Sometimes it makes sense to associate more than one note type to a note. Note Type now allows multiple selections.
- This is especially helpful in combination with the "Permitted Roles" functionality described above. For example, a "Sensitive Information" note type could be created, and when a note associated with this note type, this can restrict that note to only being visible to those who are allowed to see that note type.
- Keep in mind that in order to see a note, a person must have permission to access all of the note types associated with the note.
Add a Note from Message
When creating a new message, you may choose to add a corresponding note.
Academic Plan Templates
Statuses
Statuses have been added to Academic Plan Template to help facilitate the workflows associated with building and maintaining Academic Plan Templates. The statuses are as follows:
- New
- In Progress
- Pending Review
- Published
Sorting and filtering on status is possible on the Academic Plan Template list page, allowing easy management of the build out of templates.
- During automated imports, Academic Plan Templates are either copied or created as necessary.
- When templates are automatically created, the “New” status is assigned.
- Once a person makes a change to a template in the “New” status, the template automatically moves to the “In Progress” status.
Building
We’ve added several small usability enhancements to the Academic Plan Template builder interface to make it simpler and easier to make common changes. You’ll notice these time-savers right away.
Building an Academic Plan Template has become much easier in this version.
Drag and Drop
We’ve added drag and drop capabilities so that courses can be re-organized and re-ordered as necessary. You will also have the ability to easily order and modify course groups as well as terms within the builder.
Course Groups
Course Groups may have requirements, including a minimum number of courses, and a minimum number of credits - both of these settings are optional.
These settings are used in the background process that audits each student’s academic plan with the courses they are scheduled to take.
Course Group Templates
Also, we've added the capability to create Course Group Templates. This makes building several Academic Plan Templates with common Course Groups much easier - just select the template from the list of Course Group Templates, and the template is copied onto the term you are building. Course Groups can also be re-ordered within each term.
Additional Items
Here are some other tweaks we’ve made to make your life easier:
- Quick-edits on several items, including course minimum grades, and the names of terms, course groups, and academic plan templates.
- When an academic plan template is in use, a warning appears to let you know before you make changes to it.
