Resource Guide

Resources that your institution provides to students can now be created, managed, and shared within Aviso Engage.

This includes a public Resource Guide that can be indexed by major search engines, and the ability to create "non-public" resources that can only be seen by users of Aviso Engage through the "Share" functionality.

  • Resources give a student all the information they need about a particular resource in an easy-to-consume format.

  • Resources that are shared with a student are visible on their home screen when they log in to Aviso Engage.

 

  • Feedback is important to maintaining a quality student tool like a resource guide.
  • The Resource Guide allows feedback, including a star-rating, that can be collected from those who access these resources.

 

User Interface Improvements

Caseload risk summary charts show how your students break down by risk level. Clicking on a section of the charts will navigate you to the students page and show you the students that comprise that section of the chart.

 

  • The filtering interface for the Activity feed has been updated, and will highlight when in use.
  • Selections made in this module will be saved automatically so you don't have to repetitively set up your typical activity feed filters.

 

  • An updated Students search interface has a collapsible side bar and makes better use of space for advanced searching.
  • The detail view of a student has been enhanced to provide most commonly used actions near the top of the screen, lead by the "Send Message" and "Add Note" buttons.

  • The expand/collapse button will be highlighted when advanced search criteria are in use.

 

Customized Student View of Alerts

When Students log into Aviso Engage, if there are open alerts on their profile, they are only able to see the alerts that are configured for student visibility. This is customized by alert in the Administration tool.

Send Early Alerts to Students

Early alerts that are created by faculty or staff through Aviso Engage can now be send to the student, and can also have their recipients customized.

In addition, you can give guidance to the creator of the alert using a "Help Text" setting.

These settings are customize-able by editing the "Early Alert" in the Administration tool.

The items in the navigator in the Administration tool have been organized alphabetically (mostly).
