This month's release brings a long requested enhancement to RPT Role Groups and a small adjustment to the display of our Search functionality.
Reviews, Promotion and Tenure
Alternate Committee Chair
When it comes to reviews, your committee chairs are often faculty being reviewed as well. In order to ensure that these individuals can be included in the same schedule as the rest of your faculty, we’ve added the ability for you to specify an alternate committee chair to be used when your main committee chair’s submission is up for review. This can be someone from the committee, or someone unrelated to the committee. Each of your committees can have an alternate set so that your faculty can be reviewed with the fewest number of schedules possible, which means fewer processes to manage during review season.
Please review our updated documentation on for more information regarding this feature.
Creating a New Committee Role Group
For all Schedules opened in 2022, an administrator will be able to edit reviewers to add an alternate chair. Once an alternate chair has been added, us Add Subject to include the original chair as a new subject. This should only be done if the original chair hasn’t yet submitted their materials in a different schedule - otherwise, they will need to resubmit once they are added to the main process.
Search Bar Update
We have simplified the Search Bar placeholder text for Activities to “Search…” to avoid some activity screen titles from cutting off awkwardly.
